Our Mission

Bessie's Home for Battered Women and Children is a non-profit corporation which works to provide life-saving services -- shelter, counseling, advocacy, information and referrals -- to women and children of all ages, races, ethnicities and socioeconomic status. Our proposed 24-hour hotline and walk-in program will, initially, serve the greater Chicago community. We pursue our mission by providing programs for developing collaborating partnerships and coordinating links which support community and economic empowerment.
